Berkeley County School District collaborated with the local business community to implement targeted strategies for supporting student growth as they plan for success in college and careers. In the words of Chief Academic Officer Kevin O’Gorman, "With Lexiles and Quantiles and the Growth Planner, we have tools for measuring ongoing student growth. Understanding that strong reading abilities are at the heart of college and career readiness, Berkeley County school district leadership turned to the Lexile Framework® for Reading as well as the newly updated Growth Planner, to help students explore careers and map learning paths to meet their career goals.
