When state departments of education (DoEs) link their assessments to report Lexile and Quantile measures, they’re providing their teachers with powerful tools to enhance instruction and help students graduate ready for success in college and careers.
Lexile & Quantile Career Preparedness Information
What Lexile measure do you need to have to be prepared for the reading demands of a pediatrician? What Quantile measure do you need to have to enter a career as a video game programmers? We have those answers. Lexile and Quantile measures are the only metric available to compare and describe reading and mathematical demands of different occupations.
For state DoEs that partner with us, we integrate the career preparedness information into the Lexile Growth Planner® and Quantile Growth Planner™ to provide a free solution for students, parents and educators to monitor student progress towards college and career readiness. With the Growth Planners, a student can look up the career they are interested in and see what kind of reading and mathematical abilities they need to enter that career. Together with parents and teachers, they can put together a learning plan to meet that goal.
