Gain specific data about the decodable words used in your titles down to the individual spelling and letter sound.

Our proprietary engine mapped the graphemes and phonemes of nearly every word in the English language and this info is provided in the decodability analysis you will receive.

Provide educators and parents with the information they need to best support students’ reading development.

Our unique analysis provides an independent and objective summary of your books’ sound, spelling and syllable information to guide reading selection.

Make your decodable books more discoverable!

Your title will be listed on Lexile Find a Decodable Book, part of the Lexile and Quantile Hub, which is visited by more than three million users annually and shared by over 20 state departments of education.

Our Decodability Analysis Provides Unprecedented Detail.

From frequency of individual vowels (like short “a”) to number of consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) combinations, the decodability analysis includes precise data on what makes your books decodable. The information is provided in two ways:

  1. PUBLISHER REPORT (RAW DATA)
The analysis comes to you as a spreadsheet that can be used for decodable information printed on the book or in storefront listings on bookseller websites.
  2. FIND A DECODABLE BOOK (PUBLIC WEBSITE)
Every book that is analyzed is added to Find a Decodable Book on the Lexile and Quantile Hub. This resource can be used by teachers and families to search and sort decodable books by letter sounds.
Decodability info is provided in two ways: First as raw data for publisher use and second, on our free, public web-based tool, Find a Decodable Book.
